a las diez y a las dos;
que sí,
que no,
que el tiempo se murió
y nadie sabe, nadie,
a qué hora sucedió:

-Estoy a tu servicio.
-Mm... Tengo una niña pequeña en casa. A lo mejor puedo pagarte con ella.
-La quiero. ¿A qué hora puedo pasar a recogerla ?
Saly, triste Saly
Por la leña has de pagar.
Saly, triste Saly,
La bruja te viene a llevar.
Saly, triste Saly,
Vamos a ver qué pasa.
Saly,triste Saly,
Por leña has de pagar .
Saly, triste Saly,
La bruja se te viene a llevar .
Saly triste Saly
Eres mi paga por la leña.
-¿Has oído?
He traído la desgracia a tu familia.
FIN
There once was a man who had two wives. One of the wives had a daughter who was called Saly while the other wife had two sons who were called Tambaasi and Jaali. When the first wife died, the man gave Saly to another woman for breeding. But the woman did not like the little girl. Not allowed to sleep in the same room with her. For this reason Saly had to sleep in the kitchen with the sheep. It instructed the girl most dangerous tasks. Anything that was difficult to Saly requesting that the girls did and had no chance to protest.
- I am your stepmother and do what I tell you.
One day, the stepmother went to the forest to collect firewood. Collected a pile so big that if you feel your feet on top of him not to touch the ground. It was so great that it could not alzarlo until his head. Ato firewood with a rope and told herself: "Who will help me lift this Gaza to enable him to carry firewood on their heads?" An old woman went on foot and told him:
- I am at your service. If I pay, position this belt and put it on your head.
The stepmother was surprised because he had not said anything out loud. How could the old know what she was thinking?
- According-le-replied, pónmelo over and then you pay.
-- But what I am going to pay? "asked the old.
- I'm going to pay with a lamb, "said the stepmother.
- I do not want-old replied.
The stepmother thought and then said:
- I have a bull at home you could give.
- Nor do I want to re-refuse-old. I just want one thing.
-- And what is it? - stepmother asked, intrigued.
- Must pay with one person.
-- A person?
- Yes.
When the old said that, the stepmother thought he was talking to a witch. But anyway thought he had left Saly.
Mm-... I have a little girl at home. To the best I can pay with it.
- The want. At what time I turn to pick? replied the old fast -
- You can turn to pick where everyone is sleeping.
- Agreed. And how is your name? said the witch -
- It's called Saly-added stepmother.
- Good. I will come at night to look it up.
That night, after everyone had been lying, the witch went down the hill. As the village began to sing this song:
Saly, sad Saly
For the wood has to pay.
Saly, sad Saly,
The witch will come to bear.
Saly, sad Saly,
You are my pays for firewood.
When the stepmother heard the song of the witch went to the kitchen and woke Saly.
- You will not sleep anymore in this house. You must go to bed with the witch.
Saly began to mourn, but his stepmother threatened:
- I am your stepmother and do what I tell you.
Then opened the door and threw the girl in the arms of the witch.
Tambaasi, Saly's brother, had been awakened by noise and said to his brother Jaali:
- Is something happening. I was awakened a strange noise. Let's see what happens.
They were in the kitchen and found it empty. Tambaasi spoke:
- This is what I thought. We have taken our sister Saly. Tonight was sleeping when I realized what was happening. We have to find it.
It was dressed, got their hunting guns and penetrated into the woods. After traveling some distance heard someone singing:
Saly, sad Saly,
For firewood has to pay.
Saly, sad Saly,
The witch is coming to take you.
Saly sad Saly
You are my pays for firewood.
-- Have you heard? "asked Tambaasi.
They were toward the sound of the song. At the close, saw the witch next to a bonfire, and was putting with a stick so that the flame garments. Her sister was tied to a large package that had on the floor. Carefully pointed their rifles and fired at the witch. Then, unleashed his sister. Nearby was a stream and washed. The three returned home together and by the way Saly told them his story. On reaching the village the two brothers told Saly to wait outside. They entered and asked her mother:
-- Where is our sister?
- Se ha ido-she replied.
- Where ha ido?
- I told him that would make a message and has not yet returned-lied women.
- This is not true because it is behind this door.
They opened the door and Saly was there. Then Tambaasi was toward his father and told him:
- Leave your daughter with her stepmother for education and she has treated like a slave. Even the gift has to pay as a witch.
-- Are you sure that what I say is true? "asked the father.
The stepmother had to admit that was true. It was deeply embarrassed and humiliated. With these words said goodbye to her husband:
- You have not failed to look after your daughter as you would a mother. He brought disgrace to your family. I therefore leave this village and go to live on my own elsewhere.
The stepmother left early, and since then lived Saly happy with his father and his brothers.
